How Khajuraho Karigari came to Life!

The story of Khajuraho Karigari began with a personal connection to sarees.

After marriage, sarees became an important part of founder Sonal's everyday life. What started as a tradition gradually grew into a deep appreciation for the artistry, craftsmanship, and heritage woven into every piece.

While preparing for the State PSC examinations, she explored the rich history and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh. During this journey, she discovered the timeless beauty of Chanderi and Maheshwari weaves, along with traditional art forms such as Bagh printing and Batik. The more she learned, the more she admired the generations of skill and dedication behind these crafts.

Coming from a corporate background as a software professional, she never imagined that this curiosity would one day lead to a handloom brand. Yet it inspired a vision - to celebrate authentic craftsmanship and connect artisans with people who value handmade creations.

With the support of her family, Khajuraho Karigari was born in 2025.
